Blacksmithing skills to Nordic levels

Description of project:

A mobility project between three vocational schools Riga School of Arts and Crafts from Latvia, Jyväskylän College from Finland and Vana-Vigala Technical and Service School from Estonia. All in all 24 students and their teachers from the abovementioned schools will participatein the mobilities.

The aim of the project is to provide blacksmithing teachers and students in the participating schools the opportunity to learn in another Nordic country in order to improve their professional skills and competencies in blacksmithing as well as advance their knowledge in the traditions and culture of other Nordic countries. During the project students will visit and learn in partnering schools and teachers will act as job shadows for their colleagues in order to exchange experiences thus improving the methodology behind teaching blacksmithing.
